Maxi Loop

Maxi Loop is a loop-drawing puzzle invented by Naoki Inaba (Japan) in 2003, originally published under the name MAXライン (MAX Line). In this genre, each numbered region specifies the maximum length of the loop segment that may lie within that region. This upper-bound restriction forces the solver to control how long the loop can extend through different areas, creating carefully balanced logic between global loop structure and localized length limits. The result is a clean, elegant puzzle type known for its clarity and precise deductions.

Rules

Draw a closed loop through all cells by connecting the centers horizontally and vertically. The loop can't cross or touch itself. The numbers in the boldly marked area indicate the highest amount of cells that the loop goes through consecutively in that area.
